- Q. How are organizations chosen?
- A. Every DPR office has a DPR Foundation representative, who works with a small group to identify candidate organizations in the area. Every year, each office is asked to submit one or more organizations they would like the Foundation to support. The DPR Foundation Board annually reviews the submitted organizations and working with local teams makes their selections.
- Q. How much does the DPR Foundation usually give to an organization?
- A. Meaningful gifts fall in the range of $20,000 to $50,000. Coupled with our volunteer help, we want to be a significant member of the organization’s program.
- Q. Are the chosen organizations supported year after year?
- A. Yes, provided the organization is able to stay on mission and achieve results.
- Q. Can regional offices have more than one organization supported by the DPR Foundation?
- A. Yes, and we really encourage each region to continue to look for outstanding organizations that are helping disadvantaged kids.
- Q. Does DPR Foundation have matching program?
- A. If you make a contribution to your favorite charity, DPR will not match your gift. However, if an employee makes a contribution to the DPR Foundation, DPR will match that contribution up to an aggregated specified amount.
- Q. Does the DPR Foundation support religious organizations or support organizations that are connected to a religious organization?
- A. No, given the large number of organizations that focus on disadvantage kids we felt it best to support independent organizations.
- Q. Will DPR Construction make a financial contribution to the DPR Foundation every year?
- A. If DPR Construction’s financial performance allows, it will make an annual contribution. However, there may be years when that is not a possibility.
- Q. Can we invite subcontractors to give to the DPR Foundation?
- A. Our future plans most definitely include inviting subcontractors who are interested in our program to provide support. However, we want to build a track record of accomplishment before we seek assistance and contributions from outside the company.
