Our Mission
The DPR Foundation exists to help disadvantaged kids.
One of the founding objectives of DPR Construction was to become an integral part of the communities in which we work and to become indispensable in furthering various community needs. At each office that objective is being carried out in numerous ways. In 2008, however, DPR decided to add to our regional efforts, forming the DPR Foundation as a company-wide, focused outreach to help children who fall short of their potential due to socio-economic challenges.
- Kids: Where to start? There is so much to be done. We decided to focus on grade school and high school age youngsters.
- Disadvantaged: Today’s youth have so many different types of needs. We have limited our outreach to kids whose socio-economic circumstances are holding them back.
- Help: While there are many worthwhile organizations that need financial help, some are particularly well suited to the type of hands-on assistance that the talented and enthusiastic DPR folks are willing to provide.
The DPR Foundation’s underlying philosophy is to choose organizations with missions that align closely to our mission, purpose, values, and build lasting relationships. This means that once we have selected an organization we expect to continue our financial and volunteer support year after year. Together, we aim to achieve measurable results in allowing kids to become happy and productive members of our communities. While this may be a daunting challenge, that is nothing new to DPR or to the DPR Foundation.
